For the game, I was envisioning a puzzle game where the player has the power to manipulate time and therefore would need to use these abilities to progress through the game. 

The genre for the pieces that I made for the gamejam would fit into the ambient genre as it has many elements that I drew inspiration from. Most of the pieces started off with a general brainstorming stage in order to establish the desired mood. From there, I listen to other pieces in order see what I like and can draw inspiration from. After that, I play around in my DAW and refine the piece. 

The theme that I chose was the photo of the person sitting on the big hourglass.

The photo that was provided gave a big sense of loneliness and liminality which what I tried to convey through my submissions. For the level theme, I tried to play into the fact that the game was a puzzle game and made the music geared towards setting a good mood for the player to start thinking about how to solve the various puzzles.
